I’m not a social butterfly. Never have been. But when I’m behind my camera and my soul spreads it’s wings and flutters, it’s at that moment I can speak so much through what I capture.

THIS IS ME
Born and raised in California, my journey into the world of art began at the tender age of eight when my father entrusted me with his cameras. Though it would take years before I fully embraced photography, that early exposure ignited a passion that remained dormant until later in life. At nine, I discovered music, immersing myself in the art of being a flutist, a pursuit I still cherish today.
As I grew into my roles as a wife and mother, my family became my focal point. This devotion led me back to photography, allowing me to document the beautiful moments of my children's lives. I don’t view myself merely as a photographer; rather, I see myself as an artist. Initially, I focused on family and wedding photography, capturing memories for others and forging connections with wonderful people along the way.
However, as life unfolded, I faced significant challenges. The loss of my father to leukemia and my mother's early onset Alzheimer’s diagnosis compelled me to make pivotal decisions. I became her caregiver, which left little time for professional shoots. During this period, I recognized the importance of nurturing my own happiness and inner peace.
This realization prompted a shift in my artistic expression. I chose to turn my lens inward, capturing what resonated with my soul rather than just what was expected of me. My admiration for black and white photography emerged, as it evokes a profound emotional depth and moody atmosphere that speaks to me on a personal level. The emotions I convey through black and white images run deep, reflecting my inner landscape.
In addition to photography, I create cloth dolls and lampshades as another outlet for my creativity. Each artistic endeavor—whether it’s behind the camera, playing the flute, sewing dolls, or crafting lampshades—serves as a vital stress reliever. I have curated a life that centers around my visions, making my happiness a top priority. Through all forms of art, I continue to explore, create, and find solace in the beauty of the world around me.
